He formed his own consulting engineering firm, J. Michael Lane & Company in 1972, and that company evolved into Lane Engineers, Inc. in 1988.

Mike has over 40 years of experience in planning, designing and constructing a wide range of civil engineering projects.  He has been involved in street, road, bridge, storm drainage, sanitary sewer and water system projects throughout Tulare, Kings, Kern and Fresno Counties.  He has also designed and administered construction activities for office buildings, operation and maintenance buildings and maintenance yards.

Mike has served on various boards and held many offices in organizations that strive to promote healthy business environments focusing in managed growth, development and infrastructure.

As the current Chief Financial Officer of Lane Engineers, Inc. Mike continues to ensure that strong business practices and ethics are a foundation of our company.  He realizes the demands of the current business climate and helps to ensure that Lane Engineers, Inc. will be able to serve the needs of our clients for many years to come.  His founding ideas are what have enabled us to be a leader of our industry for over thirty years.
