Lane Engineers Year in Review 2014

3d ScanDecember is always a good time to take a moment and reflect back on the past year’s accomplishments. We can definitely say things are looking positive for Lane Engineers, Inc. We hired a new Engineer-in-Training to better serve our clients and to address the additional workload we experienced over this past year. Kevin Nunes, EIT, is a Tulare native and a Civil Engineering graduate from University of California, Davis. Besides quickly learning the civil engineering side of our company, Kevin has taken an important role in developing our CAD technology capabilities. Speaking of technology, we completed our first few projects utilizing “point clouds.” This amazing technology takes advantage of 3d scanning equipment and software and enables us to take a complex project and complete a comprehensive set of construction documents with accuracy and efficiency. The image within this article is a 3d scan image of a local building. It may look like a picture, but consists of millions of scanned data points to create this image. Besides building upon our technological abilities, our Lane Engineers family is growing both personally and professionally. Wa Vang, P.E. and his wife, Ge, had their third child, Collin. Aaron Oliver, P.E. and his wife, Alyssa, had their second child, Andrew. On the professional side, we have continued servicing our clients with personal attention to their project needs that only a smaller company like ours can provide. Some of our recent projects include:

Vita-Pakt Citrus Products Cold Storage Building – Lindsay, CA
College of the Sequoias Baseball Scoreboard – Visalia, CA
International Paper, New Conveyor – Visalia, CA
Modernization and Site Improvements at Coalinga High School – Coalinga, CA

New Planetarium Facility for Tulare County Office of Education – Visalia, CA
TF Tire Expansion – Tulare, CA
Wood Ranch Unit No. 1, a Residential Subdivision – Visalia, CA

As 2015 is just a few days away, and we look forward to building on the successes of 2014 and working with our clients to make their dreams come true.

May 2015 bring you health, happiness and prosperity!
